Leather Cleaning Tips

Leather apparel are great style and fashion statements. Buying them is not all one can do, you have to learn to take care and maintain leather apparel. Leather apparel is expensive and one cannot wash them in here washing machine. There are few tips about how to clean your leather apparel.

Removing dust,

For removing dust you just have to take damp cloth and rub it on the sleeves and collar but lightly. These will clear of dust.

Cleaning leather apparel,

Cleaning it with smooth surface should be easy. Take a little bit of detergent or soap and. wipe it slowly and gently all over jacket with a soft cloth, use a sponge to clean excess water. Dry it on hangers, such cleaning should be done twice or once a year. Leather apparel does crack after cleaning, so just cleaning is not enough? That is why conditioning is must. There are many leather conditioner are available in the market, or you could use mink oil. Just use that much which is necessary do not use more otherwise your jacket will be sticky.

Removing stains,

Make a solution in 3 1/3 cups of olive oil add 10 drops of grape fruit seed extract, 1/3 cup castile soap, 50 drops of essential oil and ½ gallon water and apply on the leather material with damp cloth. This will remove stain from the leather apparel

Getting Rid of Oder

Odor is easily observe by leather especially smoke they need to be freshened. One way to remove Odor is making your bathroom steamy with citrus freshener and keeping your jacket in the bathroom.

Removing mildew and mold,

Leather apparel are too expensive , and mold and mildew can ruin them. To take care from them simply mix rubbing alchol with water and spray on the leather,. Use lint free cloth to clean your leather.

Cleaning Suede leather

Make a solution by adding vinegar and water, and clean suede leather. For removing stain use eraser , that is quite effective.
